The brief called for the creation of an original entertainment brand that would feel aspirational, evoke high production values and include a subtle nod to the company’s founder, Marc Anthony. The brand name “Magnus Media” provided an opportunity to create an icon that represented success itself. A letterform “M” was designed to represent a mountain peak, constructed by simple bars that contain an acronym for the company (two M’s) as well as a hidden “A” in the negative space to represent Marc Anthony’s initials. The launch of the brand was immediately well-received by members of the press and the B:B community who used terms like “mogul” and “revolutionary” to describe the Mr. Anthony’s new, next-generation media company.
